London and New York: December 4, 2012 – StormHarbour, the independent global capital markets, advisory and securities firm, today announces the appointment of a number of senior executives. The latest additions continue StormHarbour’s rapid expansion since its creation in 2009 and bring the total number of hires in 2012 to 40.

The five senior StormHarbour appointments are:

Helmuth Bahn has been appointed Managing Director, Head of Germany and Austria Origination. Helmuth joins StormHarbour from PERAS Associates, a corporate finance advisory boutique he founded in 2008. Helmuth has over 23 years of experience in international capital markets and investment banking, having held senior client coverage positions at Merrill Lynch, Schroeder Salomon Smith Barney, ABN-Amro and Credit Suisse, prior to establishing his own practice.

Christian Dinesen has been appointed Managing Director, Head of Insurance Solutions. Christian, who has more than 25 years of combined insurance industry and global capital markets experience, was most recently Managing Director, Head of International Credit Research at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML). Prior to joining BAML in 2002, Christian headed Standard & Poor’s European insurance practice. Christian started his career as a re-insurance broker in the Lloyd’s and London markets in 1984 and was a partner at Risk & Insurance Research Group, a management consultancy firm prior to joining Standard & Poor’s in 1999.

Charles Scheyd has been appointed Managing Director, Nordic Region Client Coverage. Charles joins from Venn Partners where he was responsible for coverage of banks and institutional investors in the Nordic region. Prior to joining Venn Partners in 2011, Charles spent 10 years at Banque AIG as Managing Director where he was most recently responsible for the firm’s Northern Europe and Nordic Marketing. Charles, who has more than 23 years of capital markets experience started his career at Chemical Banking Corporation in 1989 and held a number of senior client coverage positions at Bankers Trust and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein prior to joining Banque AIG.

Mounir Guessous has been appointed Principal and Managing Director, France Client Coverage. Mounir joins from Moroccan Financial Board, where he was deputy CEO for Business Development and where he helped in the development of Casablanca as the financial hub for Africa. Previously, Mounir was Managing Director, Head of French Speaking Sales at Aladdin Capital. Prior to joining Aladdin in 2009, Mounir spent 8 years at Nomura International in London as Head of France and Benelux Sales. Mounir started his career in the securities industry in 1987 at Oddo et Cie in Paris.

George Giannakis has been appointed Managing Director, Greece and Central and Eastern Europe Client Coverage. George joins from Citigroup Global Markets, where he was Director of Fixed Income and Equity Derivatives Sales. George started his career at Lehman Brothers in London in 2005 and spent 2 years at Nomura International prior to joining Citigroup in 2010.
